ファッション業界のトップフォトグラファーとして、東京で活躍していた立花海咲（倉科カナ）は、ある日、突然、眼の難病を告知される。カメラマンとしての将来を悲観した海咲は、絶望感を抱えたまま、１８年ぶりに、故郷･天草へと足を向ける。そこには、海咲が会いたかった人、そして会いたくなかった人たちがいた･･･ 会いたかったのは、幼なじみの松浦晶太郎（毎熊克哉）。かつて芸大に合格し、画家を目指していたが、家族を支えるために夢を諦め天草で漁師をしている青年だ。 そして、会いたくなかったのは、海咲の母の再婚相手である辻村多一郎（渡辺謙）。彼とは、高校を卒業した海咲が、あるわだかまりを理由に家を飛び出してからずっと絶縁状態だった――
